Artist's Statement

When we are aware, a slight movement of the body becomes a meditation. A person sitting in thought, walking, standing, or dancing can be the most beautiful thing filled with wonder and excitement. I try to capture these special moments in my paintings and sculptures. Simple gestures are powerful and expressive. They tell an intimate story of humanity that is familiar and shared by all.

Some of these watercolors require slow contemplation. The images take a little while to develop and become evident. Let your eyes and mind roam and explore!
